The Woodland Trust

woodland trustEstablished from humble beginnings in 1972 by their founder Kenneth Watkins OBE, they now have over 500,000 members and supporters and more than 1,000 sites, covering over 26,000 hectares, all over the UK.

The Woodlan Trust protect and campaign on behalf of this country’s woods, plant trees, and restore ancient woodland for the benefit of wildlife and people.

The Woodland Trust manage two wooded areas within the Frodsham area namely, Frodsham Hill and Snidley Moor (which includes Woodhouse Hill).

In 2022 the Woodland Trust took over ownership of part of the former Frodsham Golf Course which is destined to become Frodsham Woods.
