OPAL’s purpose is to provide friendship and reduce loneliness experienced by older people in west Cheshire who, for one reason or another find it difficult to get out and about to meet others. We do this by bringing people together in cheerful social situations, such as the OPAL Clubs and other befriending services.

A 30 minute walk in Frodsham's Castle Park, with tea and chat in the cafe afterwards. There is also a 60 minute walk in Frodsham's Castle Park and on paths by the park, with tea and chat in the cafe afterwards.

Join Devine Times for a summer guided meditation classes in the Pod, situated at Lady Hayes. Perfect for anyone who wants an hour to chill and switch off from everyday stresses without having to do anything but sit and relax! Each session will start with a brief guide of a crystal and essential oil that will enhance the theme of your meditation. We will then start with some breath work to bring focus to our mind and calm our body. Followed with a 30-minute guided meditation taking you away from busy minds & everyday thoughts. We will end on picking an oracle card to give you some guidance for the week ahead.

You don’t need to be a good singer to benefit. Join them for fun vocal warm-ups and sing a wide variety of familiar and new songs in a supported environment. The group is hosted by their skilled, compassionate and experienced group leaders.

Fancy catching up on that knitting project and having a chat?

Callie is super excited to be offering this Friday morning class again. Let 90 minutes of yoga and somatics stretch and ease away the stresses from your week.

Zone in on your ab's to strengthen your core whilst also improving your posture and overall fitness.

The journey will take approximately 3.5 hours as you travel in steam powered, Art-Deco splendour from our berth at Sutton Weaver to Marsh Lock and out into the Manchester Ship Canal to the Danny’s old home at Old Quay in Runcorn and Weston Point Docks, where all the Manchester Ship Canals tugs used to berth as it was their maintenance depot. We will pass under the viaduct and through the Jubilee Road Bridge (known locally as the ‘Bird Cage’ due to the number of starlings nesting there)! We will then turn and make our way back down the Manchester Ship Canal to The National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port.
